Stephanie McGowan is a Contemporary visual artist based in Sligo, Ireland. Selected for her first solo show, ‘Fading Memories’, at The Hyde Bridge Gallery, Sligo in 2017, McGowan graduated with a First Class Honours degree, in Fine Art, from I.T. Sligo in 2017, following which she was selected for the RDS Visual Arts Awards 2017, being one of thirteen selected artists throughout Ireland. McGowan completed a Masters in Contemporary Art Practice, at The University of Edinburgh in 2018, during which she took part in Tropical Lab Residency at Lasalle, Singapore. Showing her work nationally and internationally including, Embassy Gallery (Edinburgh), Harbinger Project Space (Reykjavik), ICA Singapore, Mazda 2.5 (Leipzig),The old Biscuit Factory (London) and 126 Gallery (Galway). McGowan has been included in publications such as Art Reveal Magazine, Bluebee Magazine, and RTE’s New Island, 2019.
